It's The Hamptons Darling

Ma always comes up with these last minute trips...they have taken me to Saratoga, NY...Cape Cod, MA and now....the Hamptons.

We left work at 5 p.m. on Friday and headed down the LIE to the Hamptons. Our final destination was Montauk, NY. Making our way there we traveled through East Hampton, Southampton, Bridgehampton, Amagonset, Sag Harbor and Shelter Island.

Ending up here...

And Then I Saw...

This and this and this....
Thomas and I have started going on walks...on one particular night, we walked from Canal Street all the way to Grand Central Station via 3rd Avenue. For those who measure things in miles, I don't know how many that is...but it's like 50-60 blocks.

We also decided to start walking the Brooklyn Bridge....

And then there are the random signs that we see on our way home....

March Madness

With March came St. Patrick's Day...

And Thomas' Birthday (he's not in any photos that I took that night)...

A work trip to Chicago.....

...oh, and it snowed....alot.

No Words...just laughs.

What happens when 2 Brooklynites get bored one night at home?

How Can I Sum This Up?

I'm not really sure that I can. My vacation from blogging is to be explained only one way...I've been in lock up on Rikers Island. I've been abducted by the Yankees...baseball team...and they made me go to spring training with them.

Really, I have no excuse...other than just bein' busy.

Here we go with the updating.

I had a couple of reasons to celebrate in February. The first of which was my friend Bryan's birthday party. He had a party at this cool place called Dove Parlour. It was there that I encountered something called The Green Fairy....Absinthe. I only tasted a little bit of it...made me wonder about all the worm wood controversy.

Karen, Bryan and myself

Thomas and I decided to strike our best ninja pose for everyone.

It was a fantastic evening.

Southern Uprising....

...celebrating 29 Years of a Southern Belle!

So, it was my birthday you know. On Friday. Friday, January 9th was my birthday. Last year, was a good birthday. My friend Jess came in from Texas to celebrate and it was awesome.

This year...this year I had an amazing birthday. I had a multitude of well wishers sending me love during the day, and I had a close circle of friends that came out to help me celebrate the evening.

The evening had a theme......a southern theme. I wanted BBQ. I wanted a little bit of bourbon. And I wanted mason jars. I got it all!!!!

New Year, New York

Should old acquaintance really be forgotten? Sometimes, yes. Sometimes....NO!

Ringing in the New Year was a fantastic experience. I spent it with Thomas and his friend from high school. This friend...well, she's a broadway actress. We met up with her at this apartment on W. 57th street. I would say that Thomas and I were in the minority at this party....we were the only non-thesbians. The whole evening was great. The apartment was unreal....74th floor, unobstructed view of Central Park to the left, Empire State Building & Chrysler Building to the right.

The cast of Spamalot knows how to party for New Years Eve. :)
